PHEW!  This was really a packed…busy long holiday weekend.

Thursday we were excused from the cotton field early.  That was a joy.  I picked up Bird…we ran a few errands and then we hit Chuck E ”germ world” Cheese…those lil kid places give me hives.  Bird had a good time….she wore me out…we didn’t leave until after 9pm.

Friday we hit a bbq for a bit then I obliged da Principal with a drop off at the  airport.  He was headed to the Essence Music Festival.   Then we I did a lil whole lot of shopping this weekend.  Thats what happens when I have too many days off.  It’s dangerous.  Bird had been nagging asking me for a pair of chu.ck tayl.or’s…she came off like a bandit with 3 pair.  I got got.

Saturday we did not go to church.  We had service at Bedside Tabernacle. 

Later in the evening the plan was to head to Rye Playland to catch the fireworks…that did not work out at allll.  There was an alert on the highway that the parking lot was full and the cars were lined off the highway exit.  New Roc City was our back up plan.  My god sister joined us.  We played laser tag…we had sooo much fun.  That lil girl is a force to be reckoned with…she was tagging folx left and right.  I believe she was the third highest scorer out of 6…the rest adults..lol  Next was bumper cars…an all around great time.

Sunday we headed upset to my aunt’s house.  Traffic was bearable…thank.you.God.  She’ll be there for the week.  I met my newest lil cousin.  Baby Jaden is sooo precious….I coulda kidnapped him.  I want one.

I’ll pick Bird up on Sunday when I return from Va. Beach.  After my post on Thursday I put my money where my mouth is and booked a trip to see my girl….she just earned her ph.d in education and I’m soo very proud of her.  Life is grand.
